OK, so I don’t have a ton to say. I received a three-day timeout for what I thought was calling out antisemitic posts here, so I’m just going to ask a few questions.
a) from cnn.com—www.cnn.com/… does this count as antisemitism? Is putting the word “violent” in from of ZIonist and referring to the “settler entity” instead of Israel antisemitic? Is it ok? None of my questions have anything to do with “both sides” or what happened on 10/7 or “genocide” or “ethnic cleansing” or anything really other than whatever the hell is going on right now at Columbia.
“This is what we are here for – calling for an end to genocide and for Columbia to financially divest from the violent Zionist settler entity,” a student who identified themself as W told CNN.
b) When both sides of the aisle, including our side, including Hakeem Jeffries, who we all love, is mentioning antisemitic behavior under the guise of protesting Israel, can we agree that there’s been a disgusting rise in it?
c) So many supported Black Lives Matter but thought (myself included) that the looting, breaking into stores, and beating up innocent people, sadly took away from the movement’s main message, which was protesting how awful policemen can be to Black people, particularly young Black men. How is this any different? How is attacking Jews in America who have nothing to do with Israel going to bring people’s minds and hearts toward Palestinian people and Gazans (often the same) and their safety?
d) How is this deplorable behavior going to help get rid of Bibi? This is what he wants and “liberal” Americans are playing right into it.
I’ll be posting more when Paris starts. I really hope Israel puts on a good showing at the Olympics and we can all unify in this community and sing Hatikvah.
Am Yisrael Chai!
