Good morning! Welcome to the DKos Sangha weekly open thread.
This is an open thread for members of the DKos Sangha and interested visitors who happen by. Each of us has our own path; we come here by way of many different traditions, and of no particular tradition. While the language we use may differ depending on the traditions, teachers, practices, and teachings that have shaped our journeys, we find in common, generally, a search for who we truly are, our true nature, and to bring the peace and compassion born of that search into the greater world of which we are a part. If you wish to share, or if you seek support, or if you simply want to say hello, please do; this space is for you.
So, where are you now?
When our experience is filtered through the lens of egoic separate self, challenges become much more difficult, as they are weighed down by layers of disappointment, dissatisfaction, blaming, anger, annoyance, etc. All of that extra weight is unnecessary; challenges can be met more readily with a clear mind, reasoning, and focused attention.
When these conditioned responses arise, when these thought patterns born of egoic separate self arise, notice that they are arising, and meet them with kindness, patience, understanding; meet them with an open heart.
It doesn’t help to blame ourselves or others for our suffering. As one walks upon the path, the conditioning begins to dissipate, and the weight is lessened.
When our day to day moment to moment experience is no longer filtered through the running narrative of egoic separate self, then our experience of the world is direct; the world just as it is. It is a profoundly different way of being in our world; the mind begins to see with clarity, the compassionate heart can open.
Within, there is an invitation extended, an invitation to inquire into our true nature. As the veil of separation lifts, we begin to experience our world directly, we begin to abide in and as awareness; the ground of our day to day moment to moment experience becomes the stillness - an ocean of peace.

May all beings be free of suffering
May all beings find peace
