That’s right. Hillary will not be on the November ballot, and I will certainly not be writing her in. I have full faith and confidence that 47 states later, Bernie will be our nominee. I thought that the proudest ballot I would ever cast was in 2008 for President Obama. However, now I get yet another chance in my lifetime to change the trajectory that America is on.
So please, no more talking to me about anyone in the general but Bernie. We are in one hell of a fight my brother and sisters, but we are in this thing to win. We have gained so much momentum in these last few months. We will continue on this course as we move through the next 47 states.
It is not going to be easy, and it will not be landslide sweeps. We will slowly and steadily gain support across the USA. It is going to be a long sustained effort. Remember the real count for pledged delegates stands at 51/51. That’s right – we are in a perfect tie with one of the largest and most well-funded political machines in history. The super delegates are not a great headache. They will swing to Bernie just as they swung to President Obama in 2008. To have this much ground so early indicates we will prevail.
We are going to win this thing because we have combined social justice and economic justice for all Americans. Bernie Sanders is a candidate that is no stranger to a fight. He knows how to stand up to bullies, and we know that we have a group of people in this country who are bullies. They do not want to share resources, they do not want health care for all, and they want to allocate all good things in this country for their own class while other people’s children fight their wars.
There is a great hunger that America faces today, and we are going to plant the seeds of change in the hearts of our family, our friends, our neighbors and our communities. We are going to continue to water these seeds and care for these seeds because come November, it will be harvest time.
