Former Governor Jeb Bush (R-FL) said some pretty remarkable things while he was campaigning in New Hampshire. Pretty remarkable because it calls into question even the conversation that Climate Change is a legitimate issue, that it is a real threat, and that it should even be talked about at all.
The climate is changing. I don’t think the science is clear on what percentage is man-made and what percentage is natural. It’s convoluted. And for the people to say the science is decided on this is just really arrogant, to be honest with you. It’s this intellectual arrogance that now you can’t have a conversation about it even.
So, now the Former Governor Bush is calling out all Scientists, those that talk about climate change, and those that want to do something about it as Intellectually Dishonest. At least that's how his quotes read to me. Of course this is just one man's opinion. I could be completely wrong, and he's not calling everyone out that thinks the way 98% of the Scientists have come to conclude. But to read his comments, that's how they read to me. A Lot more after the break.
See, here is where Governor Bush went off the rails. "It’s convoluted. And for the people to say the science is decided on this is just really arrogant, to be honest with you."Governor Bush, the Science isn't convoluted. It's only dishonest if you want it to be.
Let me explain my comments. Governor, it is only dishonest when you want to inject a little opposition to an overwhelming mountain of scientifically researched evidence. These scientists didn't have an agenda accept to find out what was causing Climate Change.
Climate Change isn't political. It isn't Republican or Democrat. The only time politics comes in to play is when we are trying to figure out what to do about it. When you are in the pockets of Big Oil you're going to say your scientists are saying it's not man made. They have a vested interest in what the results of their experiments are. So sure, the "Scientists" that work for Big Oil, Coal, and other Fossil fuel economy driven companies, will come up with "Scientific Research Studies" that say Climate Change isn't caused by anything man is doing. But if those "Studies" aren't peer reviewed and looked at as anything other than what they are, which is propaganda, they do not come close to being scientific.
I have heard some serious whoppers in my time about Climate Change. But Governor Bush, this has to be the most arrogant, conceited, and downright ignorant comments from a Presidential Candidate yet. You have just thrown down the gauntlet against more Americans that understand, comprehend, and know that Climate Change is caused by humans activities then you think. And you may have just sunk your candidacy before it even gets going to far.
