They say that hindsight is 20/20—but they would say that, wouldn't they?
Obviously, that's a rhetorical question, not a hypothetical one.
I love the troops (no homo)—and their little dogs, too—and I'd never do them the disservice of speaking hypothetically.
Now, all that being said—knowing what we know about what we knew and what we didn't/couldn't know[1] in the run-up to the Iraq War—if I was seeking the GOP nomination for president, I'd have a three-point plan laying out my vision for the future ... a "Project for the New American Century," if you will.
Número Uno: Let freedom spread—like a sexually transmitted disease during the Reagan era.
Next: Abortions for some[2]; miniature American flags for others.
Third: ???
Mission accomplished!

Former Rep. Allen West got Sharia'd by an underage Walmart employee.
There was a young man doing the checkout and another Walmart employee came over and put up a sign, "No alcohol products in this lane." So being the inquisitive fella I am, I used my additional set of eyes -- glasses -- to see the young checkout man's name. Let me just say it was NOT "Steve."
I pointed the sign out to Aubrey and her response was a simple question, how is it that this Muslim employee could refuse service to customers based on his religious beliefs, but Christians are being forced to participate in specific events contrary to their religious beliefs?
Boy howdy, that is one astute young lady.
Imagine that, this employee at Walmart refused to just scan a bottle or container of an alcoholic beverage -- and that is acceptable. A Christian business owner declines to participate or provide service to a specific event -- a gay wedding -- which contradicts their faith, and the State crushes them.
Meanwhile...
Rep. Steve King denied that there's any discrimination against Muslims.
Iowa talk radio host Jan Mickelson played King a clip of [Homeland Security Secretary Jeh] Johnson's remarks at a February summit on violent extremism, asking incredulously, "So the guy that we put in charge of homeland security thinks that it's his job as chief of the homeland security to give voice to Muslims while calling Islam the religion of peace?"
"This is just appalling to think that the man who's in charge of protecting Americans domestically would take a position like that, Jan," King responded.
"The president can dredge up his Crusader history and try to leverage that back against us to guilt us," he said, referring to President Obama's remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, "but what's this discrimination that's going on against Muslims in this country? I'm not seeing it. I mean, they're beheading Christians on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, and some people are speaking ill of that component. So where are the moderate Muslims speaking up?"
Of course...
It's Christians who are the real victims of discrimination in Obama's America.
When AFA President Tim Wildmon asked [Concerned Women for America's Penny] Nance about the Girl Scouts' "venture into sexual anarchy," Nance responded that since the 1970s, the Girl Scouts has been "starting to lurch to the left," falsely claiming that "they took God out of the pledge" and citing a right-wing meme about the group tweeting an article that mentioned pro-choice proponent Wendy Davis.
"And now this latest thing is just one more slap in the face to Christian parents," she said, "which is now you don't have to be a girl to be a member of Girl Scouts. You can just be questioning your gender or a boy who would like to be a girl."
"I think this is a place, frankly, for the church to be the church and for people that are marginalized in society, for us to love them," she added, "but we also can't lose our minds."
Come on!
