To my friends in the Kos community-
We needed a few days to recuperate from our massive GOTV effort and an intense campaign, but I didn’t want to wait any longer to say thank you.
While we're disappointed with the outcome of my race and so many others across the country, we must not get discouraged. Election night was a reminder of all of the work we have ahead of us, and we must keep moving forward together.
I can't begin to thank you enough for all of your support. You have done some incredible work this year, and your investment in this campaign means the world to me. Together, we ran a great campaign, fueled by nearly 5,500 donors, hundreds of volunteers, a tireless and talented staff and consulting team, and so many people who had never been involved in the political process before. We have every reason to be proud of our work to further our shared progressive values.
For me, this race was never purely about being a state senator. This race was always about the opportunity to bring our community together and lift up the voices of those who are too often silenced. Even though I won't have the opportunity to do this work as a legislator right now, I will never give up fighting for our community and the changes we are all working so hard to achieve. I'm counting on you to stand with me in this fight, and I look forward to working with all of you for years to come.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment, time, and energy. This was an incredible campaign and I couldn’t have done it without you.
