We had a visitor this afternoon. A rather sleepy (or possibly smashed) porcupine had ambled into one of the small apple trees below our house, and had found himself a grand little spot to tuck himself into a ball and munch away on the bounty that surrounded him.
Then the snow began to fall. It was such a peaceful sight.

AFTERNOON UPDATE: The porcupine has moved to a different area of the tree after a morning of more apple snacking, and is resting comfortably, looking like a furry bowling ball in a tree.
