For those of you who've already responded, consider this a reminder.  For those of you who haven't, this is your invitation to a way-cool evening!

                                                 ALL ARE WELCOME!!,

                                                and that includes YOU!

Two weeks from today, we'll be meeting the wonderful Dave in Northridge in midtown Manhattan. Confused? Then please join me below the spicy ramen, where all will be made clear:

If you've spent any time here at all, especially in diaries concerning marriage equality, LGBT rights, or our DK community, you've probably already "met" Dave, but you now have the opportunity to really meet him, in person, an experience I've been lucky enough to have already: at Netroots Nation we got into an elevator together, and we recognized each other from various meetup photo diaries! So, you see, those diaries serve a greater purpose than merely making you hungry.

Even if you know Dave only through this site, you know that he is a smart, warm, dedicated activist, and one of the true pillars of this community. You'd want to spend an evening with him even if it was at Gray's Papaya.

But wait - it gets better! Because we're going back to Donburiya, home of the indescribably delicious lotus-root chip

714 day and the giant beer. That is not a camera trick.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
