I put a lot of thought into a diary title but this is the best I can do. Belvedere Vodka things it's ok to rape women. They are pretty specific about it.
Once again I can't find a way to put the actual image into the text. I can never get that to work but this is a description of the add found Here
The ad shows a young woman, with panic on her face, trying to get away from a man who's smiling as he grabs her from behind. The text that goes with the ad is "“Unlike some people, Belvedere always goes down smoothly”
No wonder our politicians think it's ok to attack woman. If an advertising agency thought this would be acceptable and a company the size of Belvedere thought so too, then an idiot politican has every right to assume that women should be targeted!
I'm furious!
This on top of the Reebok sneaker ad that came out recently saying it's ok to cheat on your girlfriend but not on your workout!
Belveder is in total apology mode.
I am Jason Lundy, SVP of Global Marketing for Belvedere.
Unfortunately a Facebook & Twitter posting was made today that has offended many of our fans and followers — and indeed the people who work here at Belvedere. The post is absolutely inconsistent with our values and beliefs and in addition to removing the offensive post we are committed to making sure that something like this doesn’t happen again. As an expression of our deep disappointment and regret, we are making a charitable donation to a women’s support cause. We deeply apologize to our fans & followers.
The company has also said it will make a donation to a woman's organization to make things right. Ya...sure. Pay the whores they say, Make them shut up and go away.
But there is no way in hell I'd ever buy a product from that company again. In fact. I'm that mad I'm going to do some research into any company that's associated with Beleveder and not buy anything form ANY of them again.
How could anyone think that this was a good idea??
In the e-mailed statement, Jason Lundy, senior vice-president of global marketing for Belvedere, said that the ad had also offended people at Belvedere, but did not explain how it came to be approved for posting. The statement also said that Belvedere intends to make a donation to "a women's support cause" in order to express regret.
The firm Mission Public Relations, which was handling all enquiries on the subject, would not confirm which agency was involved in producing the ad, the exact times that it was posted and taken down, or the name of the women's cause Belvedere has committed to support. Belvedere is now investigating the incident.

Just a bit of an update too: I went to their Facebook page and so far it looks like everyone there support them. They are obviously deleting the criticism. But it is sad to see so many woman writing things like this is funny and acceptable.
