We already know Richard Mellon Scaife, who tried taking down Bill Clinton for almost a decade, Dick DeVos of the Amway pyramid scheme, the infamous Koch brothers, and Harold Simmons, SwiftBoat funder and Obama hater.

Here is another beauty, after the 620 nanometer space-time vortex.

Meet Frank VanderSloot.  Like Dick DeVos Senior, he made his fortune from pyramid selling, this one called Melaleuca.  VenderSloot is not shy about deploying legal threats against anyone pointing out his various actions, calling these facts "defamatory" and "inaccurate", despite a long history of attacking films about gays, outing a gay reporter who lived in a right-wing town, and funding Proposition 8.

And VanderSloot is one of Mitt Romney's principal backers.  As usual with these guys, now that his methods are being exposed he's playing the victim card:

“Since I seem to be the main topic of the ‘story,’ I fully expect my comments here will be twisted and mocked, because there are some who want to believe that people who have been successful in business or who disagree with them are evil or should be made out to appear evil.”
No, we think you're evil, not because we have different opinions, but because you ARE evil for lying about an educational movie, outing someone who didn't request it, funding hate, and threatening anyone who disagrees with you.  Whining about critics who now won't shut up about your abusive tactics, well, that's just the extra excremental cherry atop the fetid sundae.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
