As we know, Midterms are usually pretty "flacid" in terms of voter turnout. Larger voter turnout are a good thing, for Democrats. If this recent
"upsurge" in voter excitement translates into voter turnout we could see some real changes.
The level of interest outpaces 1994 when Republicans swept Democrats from power in Congress.
The high levels of political interest are driven largely by Democratic anger and optimism that they can win in November. Republican interest is close to its usual levels, according to the poll of 1,804 adults, including 1,503 registered voters.
It's working. Keep talking. Talk to your friends, family and co-workers.
Follow me after the fold for the obligatory warning message.
-----------Obligatory Warning Message-------------
Voting is prescribed to treat Republican dysfunction (RD).
If you frequent any places that have voters in them (like work), every day or even once in a while, you should use Talking.
Discuss the general health of the nation with your spouse, family, friends and acquaintenances to ensure that the nation is healthy enough to engage in safe and sound political activity and policy. If you experience high deficits, inane foreign policy, page scandals, constitutional crisis, lobbyist kickbacks or any other discomforts, seek to vote in the nearest election.
The most common side effects of Talking are motivation, increased knowledge, and upset voters ready to do something. Less commonly, bluish vision, increased vision, or anger toward wingnuts may briefly occur.
In many instances, people taking reality inhibitors or ODCs, (oral dysfunction commentary, including Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Bill O'Reilly, or Rush Limbaugh) reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to these commentaries or to other factors. If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking reality inhibitors, including ODCs, and call a rational person right away.
Although Republican dominated government lasting for more than 4 years may occur sometimes with voting with Diebold machines, to avoid long-term injuries, it is important to vote frequently.
If you are a wingnut, or have serious religious far-right or ditto-head problems, people may start you at the highest dose of reality. If you are taking the Cool-Aid, such as for the treatment of rational political thought, people may recommend a huge dose of reality and may point and laugh.
If you have scandal problems or high blood pressure for which you take Republican talking points called truth-blockers, people may start you on a higher dose of reality.
Remember to protect yourself and your partner, friends, and family, from Republican transmitted corruption, incompetence and dangerous domestic and foreign policy.
Reality is one of many options (but the best) for treating RD that you and yours can consider.
