The founder of the largest progressive website asks, "Who is Garrison Keillor and why is he such an idiot?" He receives hundreds of responses, many disagreeing with him. Is this a moment for rhubarb pie (nothing gets the taste of humiliation out of your mouth like a slice) or powdermilk biscuits (gives a shy person the strength to get up and do what needs to be done)?
Update [2005-9-15 20:39:47 by Rusty Pipes]: Since I am not from Minnesota, my definitions have come from Howard Mohr's "How to Speak Minnesotan"
You bet: "pleasantly agreeable"(Do I agree with Kos? You bet);
Can't complain: "better than average" (What do I think of Kos' diary? I can't complain);
Not so bad: "mainly average" (Kos' diary was not so bad);
It could be worse: "not going real well" (Kos' remarks about Keillor could have been worse);
That's different: "natural response to a controversial statement" (Well boy, that diary sure was different!);
Whatever: "expresses disappointment...resignation" (What do I think of Kos' diary? Whatever);
Yeahbut: "when you're forced to speak your mind" (Kos may have a point. Yeahbut did he have to...);
Oh, for dumb: "describe a person, thing or animal" (Kos said that? Oh for dumb);
A lotta guys [One of the many terms I neglected to include in the poll]: "used in sarcastic statements" (a lotta guys would have done some research before posting that diary)
