  •  Jessica King (0+ / 0-)

She's a former state senator from the Oshkosh/Fond du Lac area (she lost her state senate seat by less than 600 votes in 2012 after more than $2 million was spent against her by a conservative business organization). She's quite liberal but doesn't come across as ultra-liberal.

Im sure she's a nice lady, but I would rather have Kind. Unless he's to chicken to run against someone who's very beatable then Jen Schilling would be one I would like. Even though she more likely to succeed Kind in WI-03

...so it's not that surprising that you would back Kind if he ran against Johnson in 2016. I don't think Pocan or Moore are interested in running statewide. Also, any Dem state senator in WI with an odd-numbered district, such as Chris Larson or Kathleen Vinehout (I'd prefer Larson over Vinehout), would have a free shot against Johnson, since 2016 is a presidential year and even-numbered state senate districts in Wisconsin are up for election.

But I view him as more likely to try to climb the House Leadership ladder. I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up being the first Gay speaker of the House, He's not exactly young, but he's not much older than Nancy Pelosi was when she was first elected.
