This final round should mop up any microscopic baddies: The medical team originally thought 6 rounds would be sufficient, but decided that one more round is necessary. This last round should cost about $500.
“No evidence of metastatic disease.”: Which is great news; thanks to everyone who helped The Gimp’s wife get this far. Please give if you can; any amount is welcome. And we have an anonymous donor who will match the first $200 in kind!

Why you should go there: The Gimp’s undocumented Canadian wife has cancer and has had an operation, but she can’t get chemo without paying in advance; she needs this one more mop up round. She can’t get insurance because of her undocumented status.
Why they need money: The Gimp and his wife are wheelchair bound. The Gimp earns money by drawing caricatures on the Vegas strip and terrific graphic novels (more on this later) with his mouth; he is unable to use his arms. The Gimp has been a member here since 2005. The Gimp’s wife has worked in the past at such jobs as undocumented people can get, but has been unable to do so due to health issues more recently.

Now for the Graphic Novels part! The Gimp’s first graphic novel ended in quite a cliff-hanger! If you want to buy it, find your local comic store here: Comic Seller Locator . Then go there and ask for “A Voice in the Dark: Volume 1” by Larime Taylor, order number APR140534. The graphic novel is dark, so not appropriate for children. You’ll probably have to pay in advance — comic stores don’t have a big margin and can’t afford to have comics they can’t sell. I got my ten copies recently and WOW! The Gimp’s wife did the coloring on the cover and it is fantastic. The setting is a college campus and there are a lot of female characters and they are quite believable — none have superpowers (so far?). The 20 somethings seemed to really like it — I gave several for presents, but only to people of high school age or older.
What I think is cool about The Gimp: The Gimp reminds me sometimes of two fictional characters, Cyrano de Bergerac and Tyrion Lannister. All three seem determined that if anyone is going to remark on their disabilities, these bad boys will have the most witty, honed and edgy remarks in the room — always. I admire that.
Canadian jokes welcome in the comments, eh?
